“The 8th annual AMSA Global Health Conference was held between the 15th-19th of September in Cairns. The program brought together over 500 medical students from across Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia Pacific to discuss, and engage in broader issues in health, such as social determinants of health, refugee and asylum seeker health, and indigenous health. This was the first time this event was held in September, and overall was a successful event. The organising committee want to thank all the delegates that attended, and the AMSA executive for their support. We are looking forward to another amazing event next year in Hobart.”
